Concrete Solutions
Reinforced concrete fails from the inside out. We bring a complete durability solution — designing corrosion protection into new structures and repairing, strengthening, and protecting existing ones — so infrastructure lasts decades longer.
Build in durability, protect, and repair concrete
Corrosion of reinforcing steel is the number-one threat to concrete infrastructure. In partnership with a specialist corrosion-control manufacturer, GIR Technology brings a proven, factory-produced system of additives, mortars, and coatings that addresses the whole problem — from the steel inside to the surface outside.
The same system works from day one of a new pour or on structures already in service: engineer long-life durability into new construction, or protect, strengthen, and repair existing assets. Either way, we specify the right combination of products for your environment and support correct application — a lasting solution, not a temporary fix.

Why concrete deteriorates
Concrete looks permanent, but the steel inside it is vulnerable. Three mechanisms drive most premature failure — and each one is preventable.
Chloride & salt attack
In coastal and marine structures, chlorides penetrate concrete and corrode embedded steel — the leading cause of premature failure.
Cracking & spalling
Expanding rust breaks the concrete cover apart, exposing more steel and accelerating deterioration in a destructive cycle.
Water & carbonation
Moisture ingress and atmospheric CO₂ lower the concrete’s protective alkalinity, leaving reinforcement vulnerable over time.
A complete concrete durability system
A full, factory-produced product range organised into three complementary families — from additives dosed into the mix, to cementitious repair materials, to advanced surface coatings.
Concrete Additive
Dosed into the concrete mix for enhanced performance
Anti-Corrosion Additive
Creates a protective molecular layer around reinforcing steel, blocking chloride ions and moisture to eliminate the electrochemical reactions that cause corrosion.
- Chloride resistance ≥15%
- Steel protection ≥95% over 3 years
- Service life extended 5–10 years
- Dosage 2–3% of cement weight
Anti-Rusting Additive
Establishes an alkaline environment that inhibits rust on embedded metal components — up to 99% rust prevention — without affecting strength or set time.
- Steel protection ≥98% over 3 years
- Up to 99% rust prevention
- Compatible with all cement types
- Optimal at 5–35°C
Cement-based Material
High-performance cementitious repair and protection
Cement-based Rust-Preventing Coating
A passivating cementitious layer applied directly to exposed rebar that covers the substrate and prevents corrosion reactions from initiating.
- Layer thickness 0.3–0.5 cm
- Bond strength ≥2.0 MPa
- Steel protection ≥98% over 3 years
- Set time 45–90 min
Top & Facade Repairing Mortar
High-bond, low-shrinkage structural mortar for restoring damaged decks, slabs, beams, and vertical facades to original concrete performance.
- Compressive 28d ≥60 MPa
- Flexural 28d ≥12 MPa
- Bond 14d ≥2.0 MPa
- Working time ~2 hours
Grouting Mortar & Concrete
Non-shrink grouts for structural connections, bridge bearing seats, void filling, and equipment foundations — from standard to ultra-high strength.
- Standard 30–60 MPa
- High 60–100 MPa
- Ultra-high 120–180 MPa
- Seismic & marine grades
Specialty Mortars
Purpose-engineered mortar grades for demanding conditions where standard repair materials fall short.
Self-Leveling Mortar
Flows and finishes to a smooth, even surface under its own weight — ideal for floors and large horizontal repairs.
Underwater Non-dispersive Mortar
Placed and cured underwater without washing out, for marine, submerged, and tidal-zone repairs.
Ultra High-performance Mortar
Exceptional compressive and flexural strength for the most heavily loaded structural elements.
Early-Strength High Performance Mortar
Reaches load-bearing strength within hours, minimising downtime on time-critical repairs.
Freeze-resistant Mortar
Formulated to place and cure reliably in sub-zero conditions, operating well below −20°C.
Coating Materials
Advanced surface protection solutions
Silane-based Hydrophobic Agent
A deep-penetrating silane that bonds chemically within concrete pores to form a permanent, breathable water- and chloride-repellent barrier.
- Water repellency ≥99%
- Penetration depth 2–5 mm
- Chloride reduction ≥95%
- Service life ≥10 years
Nanowhisker Ceramic Coating
Nanoscale ceramic whiskers (SiC, Al₂O₃, TiO₂) in a water-based matrix create an extremely hard, self-cleaning surface with superior chemical and heat resistance.
- Fire resistance up to +1250°C
- VOC-free, water-based
- Adhesion strength ≥3.0 MPa
- Self-cleaning, anti-stain
Solutions matched to the challenge
The right products depend on the structure and its environment. Here is how the system comes together across common scenarios.
New Construction & Durability Design
The most cost-effective time to protect concrete is before it is ever poured. Designing corrosion resistance into a new structure avoids decades of repair cost, closures, and premature replacement down the line.
Anti-corrosion admixtures dosed straight into the mix protect reinforcement from within, while silane hydrophobic treatment and a nanowhisker ceramic coating seal the finished surface — delivering design service lives that comfortably exceed conventional concrete from day one.

Marine & Coastal Structures
Wharves, jetties, sea walls, and coastal bridges live in the most aggressive environment there is. Constant exposure to salt water and spray drives chlorides into the concrete, corroding reinforcement and shortening service life far below design expectations.
The solution is a layered defence: anti-corrosion admixtures protect steel from within, silane hydrophobic treatment blocks chloride and water ingress at the surface, and a nanowhisker ceramic coating shields against continuous weathering — together extending asset life by decades.

Structural Repair & Strengthening
Where corrosion has already caused cracking, spalling, and exposed rebar, the structure needs to be rebuilt to its original strength — not just patched. Left untreated, section loss keeps progressing and compromises load capacity.
A proven repair sequence restores integrity: a rust-preventing coating passivates the cleaned reinforcement, high-bond repairing mortar reinstates the lost cross-section, and non-shrink grouting mortar handles anchoring and void filling — returning the element to full service.

Surface Protection & Waterproofing
Bridges, tunnels, car parks, and building facades face relentless water, freeze-thaw cycles, and pollution that gradually erode durable concrete and invite reinforcement corrosion.
Preventive surface solutions keep sound concrete sound. A penetrating silane hydrophobic agent stops water and chloride from getting in, while a nanowhisker ceramic coating adds a tough, chemical-resistant outer layer — a low-cost, long-life way to avoid far more expensive structural repairs later.
